Not at all! Yoga helps improve flexibility over time. All levels are welcome, and modifications are offered in every class
What should I bring to a yoga class?
A water bottle, and comfortable clothing you can move in. We have mats.
Can yoga help with stress or anxiety?
Yes. Yoga combines breathwork and movement to calm the nervous system and promote emotional balance.
How long are the classes?
Most classes are 60 minutes, but we offer private sessions where we can be flexible.
Is yoga safe if I have an injury or health condition?
Always check with your doctor first. Let your instructor know before class so we can offer safe modifications
Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique often used for stress reduction and relaxation. It was created by Dr. Mikao Usui in March 1922. Many people regard it as a form of complementary or alternative healthcare. It’s administered by “laying on hands” which has been an ongoing practice for thousands of years.
What happens during a Reiki session?
Most Reiki sessions can be as little as 30 minutes or as long as 90 minutes. When you have your first appointment, you’ll meet with your Reiki practitioner who will talk about the process and what you can expect. You’ll want to let them know about any symptoms you want to address or if there are any places on your body you’d like for them to focus on. Then they’ll begin to move their hands around your body and may lightly touch you. Whereas you would typically become undressed for a massage session, you keep your clothes on during a Reiki session.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Reiki is a safe and non-invasive form of therapy. There have not been any documented harmful side effects. However, people with a trauma history might feel uncomfortable laying down quietly in a dim room with someone close to them.
What does Reiki feel like?
Although this will vary from person to person, most people feel a state of deep relaxation and/or a heightened state of consciousness. Some people might see colors or have visions while others may not see/feel anything at all. If you continue to have Reiki sessions on a consistent basis, then your experiences might become deeper.
Is Reiki a religion?
Although Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion and does not conflict with religious beliefs. Followers of different faiths have practiced Reiki and find that it enhances their religious experience.
Sound Bath
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you’re “bathed” in soothing sounds from instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes.
Do I need to do anything during a sound bath?
Nope—just lie down, relax, and receive. It’s a passive experience designed to calm and restore.
What should I bring to a sound bath session?
We provide a yoga mat and a blanket, but you can bring your personal yoga mat or blanket to lie on, a pillow, and anything that helps you feel cozy. We recommend dressing comfortably.
Can sound baths help with sleep or emotional release?
Many people report better sleep, reduced anxiety, and emotional clarity after a session.
Are sound baths safe for everyone?
Generally yes, but if you have sound sensitivity or certain neurological conditions, check with your healthcare provider first
